The Shade Stop difference
Covered RV Sites in Floresville — 100% Shaded
A covered RV site is an RV space with a permanent shade canopy built over it. At Shade Stop RV of Floresville, 100% of our sites are covered — every rig parks on an oversized concrete pad under its own canopy, with full 30/50-amp hookups and fiber Wi-Fi.
Why it matters
Why a covered site matters in Texas
Covered RV sites matter in Texas because the canopy keeps the sun off your roof. Your rig runs roughly 10–12°F cooler under cover, your A/C cycles off sooner (lower electric bills), and your roof and seals are shielded from constant UV — while the shaded space underneath stays usable in the heat of the day.
- Cooler rigThe canopy blocks direct sun, so your RV runs roughly 10–12°F cooler under cover.
- Lower electricA shaded rig means the A/C cycles off sooner — less power, smaller metered-electric bills.
- Roof protectionYour roof, seals, and slide-out toppers are shielded from constant Texas UV.
- Usable shadeThe covered space stays comfortable, so your patio and entry are usable in the heat of the day.

Common questions
Covered RV site questions
Are all the sites at Shade Stop covered?
Yes — 100% of our sites are covered. Every RV parks on an oversized concrete pad under its own permanent shade canopy. That's the core of what makes Shade Stop different from a typical open-lot RV park.
What's the clearance height under the canopies?
Our shade canopies accommodate rigs up to 13 feet 10 inches (13'10") tall — that covers virtually all RVs, fifth wheels, and most toy haulers. If your rig is unusually tall, call (830) 321-1708 and we'll confirm the fit before you book.
Does a covered RV site really stay cooler?
Yes. With the canopy keeping direct sun off the roof, a covered rig runs roughly 10–12°F cooler than one parked in the open. Your air conditioner works less, and the shaded space underneath stays usable through the heat of the day.
Is a covered site worth it compared to an open lot?
For a long stay in South Texas, yes. The shade lowers your cooling costs, protects your roof and seals from UV wear, and makes the outdoor space comfortable — comfort and protection an uncovered lot simply can't match.
